This is good for a laugh.

Anthropogenic Global Warming -Bullshit

I was once in the camp of those who thought that there may be something in the theory that CO2 produced by human activity could affect the climate. However the more I read about the theory, its predictions and observing the religious fervour of those pushing the theory, gave me cause to become increasingly sceptical about the whole thing. Essentially the whole theory is based in dodgy science, even dodgier computer modelling and wishful thinking. In science a theory should be able to account for past observations, make predictions and be able to be modified to account for observations not predicted in the original theory. AGW has not been able to do this, but instead of dropping the theory and looking for other means to explain the observations the true believers hang on to their baby with the religious fervour of a suicide bombing muslim, and they don't even get the (is it 40?) virgins when they die.

Anyway the world of the AGW true believers is rapidly falling apart, you have probably heard about the hacked emails, the way these emails were obtained (by hacking) is obviously unethical, however the content is truely disturbing. I was at first doubtful as to whether the emails were real or had been fabricated however source of much of the materials says that they are genuine so I will accept that unless proved otherwise. The emails show that scientific principles have been abandoned by those pushing AGW. Look here, here, here, here ,here and there are many more places covering this scandal.

What concerns me most is the damage this will cause to science, will people accept what scientists say in the future? I don't know but they will have good grounds for doubting much scientific work.

'A Breakaway' - Tom Roberts

I've posted before about how I love the work of Tom Roberts. This is 'A Breakaway' wish I could afford one of his paintings. For more on this painting go here.

Breamlea Beach 06/11/09

Victoria has some beautiful beaches, I'm not really a beach sort of person, too much sand for my liking. Plus I really don't like the sound of the surf, too noisy and you get salt all over you and I hate seagulls. But it can be a pleasant place to go at times. Here's the kids last week a mate of mine has an on site van here and we get the odd weekend away there.

The Crusher

I have managed to get hold of 20 acres in North East Victoria. It's a great block with almost a kilometre of river frontage as well as a large dam. It came with a couple of pieces of equipment that are great fun to play with. Nothing like big fun toys for boys and fishing.
